5 Network Marketing Tips For Struggling Beginners

Tip 1:  YOU are responsible for the success or failure of your new business!

This is a big one (maybe the biggest), because the overwhelming majority of new and experienced network marketers blame everyone but themselves for things that go wrong. But in reality, everything that happens to you, in business and in your personal life is a result of your decisions in some way. You, and you alone are responsible for your business. The buck stops with you!

Tip 2:  Be patient!

Rome wasn’t built in a day. In fact, most brick and mortar businesses consider it a huge success if they can turn a profit after a couple of years. So, what makes you think that the money will start rolling in after a few days, or even months?  Building a business takes time, effort, and lots of patience.
Be prepared!  When things don’t click right out of the gate, remind yourself that success is a process.  Every step you take leads you closer to your goal.  Everything you learn makes you more and more valuable to others, who will ultimately see you a the leader that can help them in their quest for freedom.
But until then, relax, persevere and be patient!

Tip 3:  Educate yourself!

I tell all of my new consultants that they should focus on educating themselves for the first couple of months after starting a new business. This can be difficult for many people to hear, because they want to make money, and now! It usually doesn’t work that way.
The only way that you will make big money in network marketing (or any business) is if you over-deliver value to your customers.
How do you provide value?  By educating yourself!
See the link?

Tip 4:  Make efficient use of your time

If you are continuing to work while starting your business, you will need to become a time management expert. Your new business is like a newborn – it requires nurturing, attention, caring… and time.
Be sure to carve out some time every day to work on your business. Turn your car into a rolling classroom by listening to CDs or tapes while you’re driving. Buy yourself a good mp3 player and plug into some great educational material while you’re at lunch or cleaning the house.
Every second you spend on your business will help it grow that much faster.

Tip 5:  Expect to get out of your comfort zone

If this is your first attempt at starting a business, than it’s very likely that you’ll be expanding your horizons. You’ll be learning new and different ways of expressing yourself. You will need to connect with people.
No one ever made it big in network marketing by hiding behind their computer screen. You may very well feel uncomfortable trying new things that you may or may not be good at.
It’s okay – it means you are growing, and it’s a good thing.
Embrace the feeling and move forward.

Tips for Generating Online Network Marketing Leads

If you truly want to achieve great success, you need to understand how to generate quality online network marketing leads. MLM isn’t only about finding customers, it’s about understanding how to find them. Where are your ideal customers on the web? When you know where to find them, you can better determine how to target them.
For most, this is an intimidating topic, especially for those who aren’t all that computer savvy. However, generating online network marketing leads doesn’t have to be confusing or as difficult as you are imaging. If you are like many others, you are accepting defeat in this area before you have even tried.
Who Is the Ideal Customer?
Not everyone on the web is considered your ideal customer. Have you ever noticed how there’s always beer commercials during football games and toy commercials during cartoons? This is because marketers know how to correctly target the appropriate audience by striking at the right time.
The first step in using online network marketing leads is to determine who your ideal prospect is. Are they stay-at-home moms who need extra money? Are they white-collard workers who want to fire their bosses or are they hard-working laborers who would love to have financial freedom without hours of physical labor every day?
The only way to effectively generate online network marketing leads is to target a specific audience. If you try to target everyone, it’s nearly impossible to earn trust.
Online Location
Are your target avatars on Facebook or Twitter all day? Can they be found debating political or religious topics in writing forums? Are they injured soldiers in chat rooms, looking for home-based work because they’re now disabled or waiting for their wounds to heal? Are they gamers who spend hours online because they have nothing else to do and hate the thought of punching a time clock?
All Signs Point Back to You
One thing you will learn when it comes to online network marketing leads is that it is easier to invite or simply be in the right place than it is to recruit. You want to plant signs that all point back to you so your avatars think they found you themselves. They have sought you out so they feel they must be in control when in all actuality, you left a trail of breadcrumbs for them to follow to get to you. Quite honestly, you practically gave them a good shove and held their hand but they’ll never know. They think they were brilliant and resourceful enough to stumble onto such valuable information and they want in!
Your signs need to be positioned where your target prospects are lurking online. If you don’t take the time to figure this information out, you will never generate any online network marketing leads.
Executing Your Strategy
A mentor may cost you money up front but it will save and make you money in the future. Some people invest a significant amount of money, trying to find online leads, but because they are doing it wrong, they are really just throwing that money away.
A mentor will help you recruit leads that will ultimately end up making you money. That is how you become successful at network marketing.

Top Tips for Making Money at Home

Making money at home,  via a home based business, was once just an unattainable dream to most, but today, nearly anyone can be successful at it. You do not need a college degree or a ton of startup cash. You do not have to quit your job or spend 15 hours a day at it to get started. This is a flexible way to make money. Depending on how devoted you are, it could be a residual income for spending money, or it could take the place of your full time job.
Put Thought Into Your Endeavor
There are a lot of opportunities available today to make money from home, but not all are legitimate. There are a ton of freelance positions if you have a special skill, or you can embark on a network marketing adventure, which is about the easiest way to make a good amount of money right now.
If you do get involved with an MLM company, take the time to do a little research. They all promise big things, but few people are able to reach a level where they see these promises kept. Explore the company and make sure you have a firm understanding of the pay structure. You will find that most pay scales pretty much require an owner’s manual to understand. Also, if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Create a Plan
It is not enough to say you want to make money at home and then start dabbling here and there. You will find yourself side tracked and taking on too many projects. You need to set both short and long-term goals. What are you hoping to accomplish? Where would you like to be next week, month and year? You will find that when you physically write something down, you hold yourself more accountable. You can figure in a few rewards for making your goals too; it always makes the extra effort a little more worthwhile.
Don’t Expect too Much
Many people hear of others making money at home, especially with network marketing, and expect to be an instant success overnight. It is not going to happen! You do not want fast success that fizzles out fast anyway; you want to get involved with something that will continue to make you money for a long time. When you get involved with the right opportunity, you will find that in the future, you will work less and make more. Isn’t that all that anyone wants?

Consider These 6 Things, When Choosing an MLM Opportunity

The key to network marketing success comes down to choosing the right opportunity. It is no secret that there are a ton of companies out there trying to recruit you, but you must look beyond the pretty picture that they paint on the surface, and make sure that you are picking the right opportunity at the right time. This one decision will dictate your future success. Below are six elements that you should consider when comparing different MLM opportunities.
1. Stability – First of all, don’t immediately assume that the most established company will have the best opportunity. Stability can go both ways. There is peace-of-mind to enjoy knowing you are getting involved with an established company, but is that going to make you any money? Have these products peaked? Is there any chance that you will move up to a more desirable pay rate? Sometimes a new company with a super-hot product is the way to go.
2. Product – Choosing an MLM opportunity with a quality product is vital. No one wants to buy garbage, and even if they do, they certainly will not be hurrying back as a repeat customer, nor will they be trying to get on board as one of your salespeople
3. Compensation – Do you fully understand how the pay plan works? Some plans with certain companies literally require an owner’s manual to figure out. You should have a firm understanding of how much you need to pay upfront, and if there are monthly fees. You also need to know how your pay is determined, and when you actually will see your money.
4. Integrity – When evaluating the integrity of a company, you must also look into the management; a company is only as good as its leaders. What experience does the CEO have? Have they been successful themselves? Are there any undesirable rumors floating around the internet about them?
5. Timing – To achieve network marketing success, timing must play a huge role. You may really love everything a company stands for and even use their products, but if there is no room for growth, it is not right for you. As mentioned, choose an opportunity that is fresh, so you have time to build your team. This way, when the product peaks, you will see a great deal of success!
6. Support – Is there ongoing training provided? Will your mentor be there to support you and answer questions as they arise? One of the most important network marketing tips to remember is that there is always something new to learn. The moment that you think you know everything is when you fail.

How to Sell: 8 Essential Skills

SHARE IT. IF YOU LIKED IT .

1. Researching Prospects

Chances are your prospect knows plenty about you, your firm and your competition.  In order to add real value, you'll need to know even more about the prospect, the prospect's business and the prospect's own customers.

2. Planning Meetings

Every contact with a prospect or customer should end in some kind of commitment from the customer—an agreement to do something that will move the process forward.  This is only possible if you plan carefully to make it happen.

3. Creating Rapport

The first decision that every buyer makes is: "Do I want to do business with this person?"  To create that all-important instant connection, you've got be curious, personable and really care about the people you're trying to help.

4. Asking Questions

If you can't satisfy a customer's real needs, you can't make a sale. And if you don't ask the right questions–or if you ask them the wrong way–you'll never know what the customers really need, and therefore will never be able to help.

5. Listening Actively

This is even more important than asking the right questions. When customers are talking, it's not enough to keep your mouth closed. You've also got to keep your mind open to discover ways to truly be of service.

6. Presenting Solutions

This means creating and describing a specific solution to previously agreed-upon needs.  Note: It is the exact opposite of a sales pitch, which is a one-size-fits-all way to say "all I care about is making a sale."

7. Asking for Commitment

All of the above is completely pointless if the activity doesn't eventually result in some sales.  If you don't ask for the business at some point, it's not going to happen. So learn how to ask.

8. Building Relationships

Your short-term goal is to walk "arm in arm" with the customer as they arrive at the best possible solution. Your long-term goal is to become part of that customer's essential business network ... and vice versa.

5 Questions Every Customer Asks

Whenever confronted with somebody who wants to sell them something, all customers ask five questions, in this order. If the answer to all of them is not a resounding "yes," a sale is not going to take place.

1. Do I want to do business with this person?

Within two seconds after you meet a customer, that customer has probably decided whether he is willing to buy from you. That's why first impressions, your appearance and your initial greeting are so important.  Sometimes you have no control over the answer to this question, because the customer may have arbitrary rules that run to your disadvantage. (For example, I once didn't buy a suit because the sales clerk reminded me of my ex-wife's boyfriend.  Not his fault, but there you are.) Still: Make sure you're controlling as many variables as you can.

2. Do I want to do business with the firm this person represents?

There are two possible scenarios.
  • If the customer is not yet familiar with your firm, it's up to you to position it correctly.
  • If the customer is familiar with your firm, then you've either got a good reputation (in which case you've got a leg up), a bad reputation (you've got to start with damage control) or a mediocre reputation–in which case, you're back to positioning your firm to your advantage.

3. Do I want and need what this person is selling?

Through the conversation with the customer, you will discover needs (and requirements) that match your offering.  The biggest mistake at this stage is being too pushy. Remember the truism: "Customers like buying things, but hate to be sold things." Finding out that the customer does not need what you've got is just as big a victory as discovering the need.

4. Does the price and value meet my expectations?

The customer has recognized the need, but is assessing whether or not what you're selling is affordable–and, if affordable, worth the money.  This entails weighing that need against the panoply of other demands that are vying for attention and money.  The customer may want (or have) competitive information that puts the price of your offering into context.

5. Is this the right time to buy?

A customer can be completely ready to buy and yet still feel that it's not the right time.  She may believe that holding out will result in a discount, or that another product will come along that makes your current offering obsolete. It's this last question, and its potential to block a sale, that causes companies to offer "limited time offers."

Order Matters

What's important about these questions isn't so much that the customer asks them, but that they're asked in that exact order.  If you answer them in the wrong order, you'll end up making the sale less likely.
For example, suppose you open a conversation with a new customer by saying: "This is a limited time offer!"  In most cases, the customer will either shrug or simply become annoyed, because the customer has not yet decided whether he wants to do business with you, or whether he wants what you're offering anyway.
